Is the free trial really free?

The plan is, yes. You pay nothing for the plan for 7 days, and if you cancel before the trial ends you pay nothing at all. The one thing that can be charged is forwarded minutes past the 120 included, at 20c a minute — the same rate as any other month — and they appear on your first bill. 120 minutes is about 17 minutes of answered calls every day of the trial.
