How much does a landline number cost?
£9.99 a month for the All-in-One plan, every feature in the one price.

The number, forwarding to your mobile, voicemail to email, the heads-up, greetings and working hours are all in it. 0800 Freephone is £14.99 a month. Up to 250 minutes a month to a UK mobile included, then 5p a minute. No set-up fee, no contract.
Do I need an app or a new phone?
No.
Calls to your landline number ring the mobile you already have, through your normal phone app. It works without internet because by the time the call reaches you it's an ordinary phone call. There is nothing to install.
How quickly is my number live?
Your number goes live once a photo ID, a recent proof of address and your address are checked, usually within a working day — they go straight to our carrier and we never keep a copy.
UK numbering rules mean the number can't go live before that check clears.
Does the number have to match where I live?
No.
Numbers aren't tied to where you live any more. Most customers pick the UK town their customers are in.
Can I transfer my existing landline number?
Yes, and it's free.
Tell us the number on the transfer page and we'll email a link to upload photo ID, proof of address and a recent bill. The same link shows where your transfer has got to. Transfers take two to four weeks; your old line keeps working until the switch. Once transferred it's £9.99 a month, or £14.99 on the 0800 Freephone plan — the same as any other number here.
Can I make calls from my landline number?
Not yet — Landline for Mobile is for receiving calls.
An app add-on for making calls as your number is coming, at £6.99 a month. Two things work today: withholding your mobile number when you ring back (dial 141 first), and WhatsApp Business on your landline number, which lets you call and message customers as the business for free.
How many minutes are included?
Up to 300 minutes a month to a UK mobile included, then 5p a minute.
Extra minutes are added to your next bill, and every call and its length is listed in your control panel. The fair use policy is one paragraph and it's on the site.
How does the free trial work?
7-day free trial, and it starts the day your number goes live.
The plan is free for those 7 days — the only thing you can be charged for is minutes past the 300 included, at 5p a minute. You set up a payment method at sign-up so the number can be ordered; nothing is collected until the trial ends, and if you cancel before then you pay nothing.
Is the free trial really free?
The plan is, yes.
You pay nothing for the plan for 7 days, and if you cancel before the trial ends you pay nothing at all. The one thing that can be charged is forwarded minutes past the 300 included, at 5p a minute — the same rate as any other month — and they appear on your first bill. 300 minutes is about 43 minutes of answered calls every day of the trial.
