How does voicemail to email work?
If you don't answer within about 25 seconds, or it's outside your working hours, the caller hears your greeting and leaves a message. Within a minute the recording arrives in your inbox, with the caller's number, so you can ring back from your mobile. The transcript comes in a second email a little later, and appears with the message in your control panel — it's done by machine, so it isn't always perfect.
Your messages are listed in your control panel and you can delete one at any time — the audio goes with it. Anything you haven't deleted is deleted for you after 90 days.
