WhatsApp Business on your landline number.
Customers can message and WhatsApp-call your business number instead of your personal mobile. It takes five minutes and costs nothing extra.
How to set it up
- Install WhatsApp Business from the app store (it runs alongside your personal WhatsApp).
- When it asks for a phone number, enter your Landline for Mobile number.
- Choose “Call me” instead of SMS when WhatsApp offers verification options. WhatsApp will ring your landline number — which rings your mobile — and read out a six-digit code.
- Type the code in. Done — your business number now has its own WhatsApp.
Good to know
- Calls and messages made through WhatsApp use data, not minutes, so they don't count towards forwarding.
- If WhatsApp only offers SMS verification at first, wait for the timer to run out and the “Call me” option appears.
- Set your working hours in WhatsApp Business too — it has its own away message.
