Questions
Frequently asked
questions.
How much does a landline number cost?
One price a month in each country, set by that country's store in its own money, nothing added at checkout.
It is shown before you pick a number, and it covers the All-in-One plan: the number, forwarding to your mobile, voicemail to email, the heads-up, greetings and working hours. No set-up fee, no contract.
Which countries' numbers can I buy?
The stores open today are the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
Another 63 countries are built and closed: pick yours and join its waitlist, and we email you the day it opens. Every store shows its price, its included minutes and what its country asks for before you pick a number.
Does the number have to match where I live?
No.
Pick the country your customers are in, then the town or area code. Most countries need photo ID or nothing at all; some require an address in the country, and the store says so before you pick a number.
How quickly is my number live?
In every country open today your number goes live once your details are checked — usually within a working day, and we email you the moment it does.
Each store says what its country asks for before you pick a number.
Do I need an app or a new phone?
No.
Calls to your landline number ring the mobile you already have, through your normal phone app. It works without internet because by the time the call reaches you it's an ordinary phone call. There is nothing to install.
Can my number ring a mobile in another country?
It depends on the store.
The plan's minutes are for a mobile in the store's country, and each store says before you pick a number whether it can ring a mobile elsewhere. Pick the country your customers are in and start there.
Can I transfer my existing landline number?
Yes, and it's free.
Tell us the number on the transfer page and we'll email a link to upload photo ID, proof of address and a recent bill. The same link shows where your transfer has got to. Transfers take two to four weeks; your old line keeps working until the switch. Once transferred, it costs that country's store price a month, the same as any other number there.
How does the free trial work?
7-day free trial, and it starts the day your number goes live.
The plan is free for those 7 days; each country's store says what its allowance is and what a minute past it costs. You set up a payment method at sign-up so the number can be ordered; nothing is collected until the trial ends, and if you cancel before then you pay nothing.
Is the free trial really free?
The plan is, yes.
You pay nothing for the plan for 7 days, and if you cancel before the trial ends you pay nothing at all. The one thing that can be charged is forwarded minutes past the allowance your country's store includes, at that store's per-minute rate — the same rate as any other month — and they appear on your first bill.
